This is a very scary diagnosis for most people, not only for the individual but also for the family. Besides the stress of the diagnosis, there are many doctor visits and medications to navigate. Surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation are common treatments. The family must shift their patterns to accommodate all of that, and it can be very stressful for everyone involved.
I have personal experience with cancer and used both traditional and non-traditional methods of treatment. I did a lot of research, which I can share with you if you are interested in more support to manage chemotherapy or radiation better. Also, I can share information about alternative types of treatments and where to get more information about them.
I know therapy is another appointment, but this one can be a relief instead of a stress. I can help you and your family through the process of dealing with cancer both emotionally and physically. The mind and body modalities can really help the body manage the surgery, medications, chemotherapy, and radiation better. And I can help the family handle the changes in routine, manage the stress, and keep relationships working better. There are simple exercises that all the family members can do at home for the stress to help you cope. And there are other exercises the person dealing with cancer can do for both the mind and the body’s recovery.
